Hervé de la Vauvre was appointed chief executive officer of Griffith Laboratories Worldwide in 1999. Prior to that, he was the president of Griffith Laboratories Europe, based in Paris. He joined the company in 1996, bringing approximately 20 years of experience in the food industry in Europe. Previously, Hervé de la Vauvre was the senior vice president of Midial, leading their European business. Before that, he was the general manager of several divisions of Midial, which included Geladour, a distributor of frozen food, Bistrial, a processor of consumer bakery products, and Ciprial, a sweet ingredients manufacturer.
Educated in France, Hervé de la Vauvre holds an MBA degree from the Institut Agronomique de Paris. He volunteers his time as a French foreign trade adviser, a president of The Alliance Française de Chicago, and a director on the board of the French American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago.
Hervé de la Vauvre likes to introduce himself as a global citizen committed to delivering values and results. Born in 1951, he is married with three children. His hobbies include sports, history and art. He has also published a collection of poems. In 2004, he was inducted into l'Ordre de la Légion d'Honneur, the highest distinction that can be bestowed in France.
